Thanks, Kevin and family.Posted on jasphotographyVerified Fabulous, friendly and fun wine tasting experience! A must-visit cellar door! McCaffrey's Estate Winery have a Wine Club named "Convivial" and that is such an apt description of the reception and experience you will receive the moment you arrive at the cellar door. Danielle and Declan, who own the family business, are just delightful people. They have a wonderful knowledge of wine-making and many enchanting stories of how some of the wines are named. Wines!!! Well from vivacious Verdhelo to a superb Sharaz the range of wines is superb and all of them very special. We have just enjoyed a wine tasting with Declan at the helm and inevitably walked out with a box of wine. The cheese from Hunter Belle that accompanied the wine was perfectly matched too! We have been members, convivial naturally, for a year and we are really looking forward to the "Winemaker for a Day" experience. There are so many wineries in the Hunter Valley and now, as locals, we are trying to find our favourites. McCaffrey's is right at the top of our list and you should make sure that you make time for a visit. I promise that you will be delighted with the wine and the experience.
