We recently took my in-laws from the UK for a three-night stay at the beautiful McCaffrey’s Estate. We had the most wonderful stay with my in-laws absolutely raving about it! The cottages are a home away from home – hosts Danielle and Declan have thought of everything – fresh produce in the cottage, a gorgeous bottle of wine chilling in the fridge, and the fire stacked and ready to go. Our 6 and 4 year old enjoyed the pool, toasting marshmallows over the outside fire pit, and running amongst the vines. And our afternoon spent wine tasting in their cellar door was such an experience. Some of the best tasting wines in the Hunter and incredible stories from the host, Declan. Thank you so much for a fabulous stay – we’ll definitely be returning for more!
We had a wonderful stay at McCaffrey's Estate in Merlot Cottage. What a special place - lovely location, comfortable accommodation with every homely comfort, including a generous breakfast hamper! We also indulged in some of the wine, cheese and olives available at the cellar door - scrumptious! Danielle and Declan were very helpful and welcoming. Loved the sheep and the chooks too! We highly recommend this beautiful location, we were sad to leave, but we will definitely return for future holidays.
